Well this one was a real challenge. I'm really stressing and hating life right now but, as always, I am hopeful and optimistic about the future. This one really took a lot longer to finish than I had thought it would.(They all do! But this one more than usual. Check out the images below for more detailed views. This one is intricate.

I'm really inspired by this Gothic fantasy genre. I intend to explore it much further. Up and coming will be some more mermaids. I still have the Goth Girl By The River in waiting while I work out some issues at home. That one is the only one of the posted preliminary drawings that has not yet been completed. I will take that one out and finish it one of these days, but after I get a couple more mermaids out of my system.

I simply have to simplify my style. I am selling these as many of you know, so I have to get so many done in a week if this project has any viability at all. I hate to dumb down and I love to add all these extras and details, but I think the next few paintings will have to be more simple in their approach; especially if I intend to post more often than I have been...and I do. ;)

We'll just have to see how it goes, I guess. In the meantime, will you kindly watch this, my finest work on this blog IMHO, on eBay?

Daily Painting Blog Created Valentine's Day 2009

A labor of love? I hope so! Inspired by the works of many artists who ingeniously created many small works of art and sold them on eBay, I decided to finally join in and create my own daily painting blog. Ive sold lots of artwork on eBay already. I think this will be a fine step forward to bring my work to the next level.

Im going to take a different path than most of the other daily painters that Ive seen though. I love to do fantasy illustrations and could be seen drawing fantasy subjects since I was a very young child. I love the wonderful still lifes, landscapes, and portraiture Ive seen most of the daily painters do, and I definitely want to partake. I would also like to make some small format sized fantasy paintings too though. Works influenced by my passion for illustration and narrative arts. We'll see, I guess. Im going to get some paintings up here and update as often as I can.

I hope to work it so that I get to a pace of making one new painting every day.

I hope you will enjoy the works you see on this blog...
